Amanda Layman lives and works in Springfield, Missouri. After a long hiatus from making art consistently, she has returned, with a focus on portraying complex human emotions with her signature use of vibrant color and bold brushstrokes.

As a rock climber and active person, she is inspired by athletics, dance, and theatre, and is interested in creating art that moves. She wants her art to feel nourishing and alive – for you to wander through it along your chosen paths, finding rest and restoration.
